About the Role
We are looking for a data driven curious and detail oriented Business Data Analyst to join our team In this role you will act as a key analytics partner to cross functional teams including Product Operations Sales Marketing and Finance
You will be responsible for translating complex marketplace and operational data into clear actionable business insights building reliable data models in SQL designing automated dashboards and tracking core growth and health metrics across the customer lifecycle
Key Responsibilities
1 Business Analytics
Perform exploratory and ad hoc analyses to answer critical business questions and uncover growth opportunities
Analyze full funnel performance metrics Acquisition Activation Engagement Retention and Marketplace dynamics
Conduct in depth Cohort Funnel Experimentation A B testing and Root Cause analyses to diagnose trends and behavioral shifts
2 Reporting BI Dashboarding
Design build and maintain interactive high performance dashboards and recurring reports using modern BI tools
Monitor core business KPIs and operational health metrics
Drive self service BI capabilities across the organization by empowering non technical stakeholders with accessible data tools
3 Data Modeling Data Quality
Write optimize and maintain reusable well documented SQL queries and data models with a focus on data integrity clarity and performance
Validate data accuracy across disparate source systems and collaborate with engineering data teams to resolve upstream tracking and ingestion issues
Document metric definitions business logic and analytics workflows to ensure institutional knowledge sharing
4 Cross Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with Product Operations and Business teams to understand data requirements define measurement plans and measure success metrics
Qualifications Requirements
Experience Core Competencies
1 2 years of professional experience in a Data Analyst Business Intelligence Analyst or Product Analyst role
Proficiency in SQL Strong ability to write complex joins window functions aggregations and reusable data transformations
BI Data Visualization Hands on experience building reports and dashboards using BI tools e g Metabase Power BI Tableau or similar
Advanced Spreadsheets Proficiency in Excel Google Sheets for quick data manipulation modeling and scenario analysis
Analytical Foundation Solid understanding of business statistics KPI frameworks funnel conversion and cohort retention methodologies
Soft Skills Mindset
Communication Storytelling Proven ability to convey complex technical findings in clear concise business language
Detail Oriented Rigorous High standard for data accuracy consistency and reproducibility
Adaptability Flexibility High flexibility and adaptability to manage shifting business priorities handle ambiguity and thrive in a fast paced dynamic work environment
Continuous Learning Curiosity Strong intellectual curiosity and an eager to learn attitude with a proactive drive to explore new analytical methods business domains and data tools
Nice to Have
Prior experience in e commerce two sided marketplaces on demand platforms or supply chain automotive aftermarket industries
Familiarity with Python pandas numpy for exploratory data analysis or automation
Experience with Marketing Attribution or Product Analytics tools e g GA4 Looker WebEngage
