We re looking for an animator who can both create melee combat animations and implement them in Unreal working directly with the founder and a gameplay programmer
What you ll do
Animate player attacks dodges hit reactions stagger and death
Create enemy attacks with readable anticipation impact and recovery
Adapt and retarget existing animations where appropriate
Set up Animation Montages Animation Blueprints and root motion
Coordinate hit timing and gameplay transitions with the programmer
Refine animations through hands on play testing
What you bring
A combat focused reel showing weight timing and strong poses
Practical experience implementing animations in Unreal
Proficiency in Blender Maya or MotionBuilder
Confidence working with existing rigs and placeholder characters
An eye for readable combat and a willingness to iterate
Motion capture cleanup and rigging experience are a plus
