Key Responsibilities
Market Deep Dive Immerse yourself in new markets to understand transaction dynamics risk management and current trust barriers
Merchant Stakeholder Engagement Conduct in depth interviews with merchants dealers and agents to identify recurring patterns and insights
Value Proposition Definition Clearly define Toman s value creation points and limitations within each target market
Funnel Analysis Map the existing customer journey identifying points of user acquisition drop off and underlying reasons
Go to Market Strategy Development Formulate entry strategies including segment selection proposition design business model and operational requirements
Early Customer Acquisition Directly acquire the first customers establishing initial traction before formal processes are in place
Scalable Growth Identification Discover and validate repeatable GTM strategies through testing channels partnerships integrations and tactics
Unconventional Entry Points Explore unique angles strategic partners or platforms to gain market access
Product Feedback Loop Translate market learnings into actionable insights for the product team to inform scalable solutions
Requirements
Proven experience in opening new markets or segments from scratch
5 years in business development market development or enterprise sales
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement unique go to market strategies
Strong ownership mentality focusing on outcomes rather than tasks
Self starter with the ability to overcome blockers independently in a lean environment
Comfort operating in ambiguous situations and defining solutions
Proficiency in both discovery and closing conversations
Credibility across diverse business types e g e commerce automotive real estate
Ability to translate learnings into executable plans for others
Data driven decision making prioritizing evidence over instinct
